Templates
How EarnClaw templates and runtime packs work, what each lane includes, and how the catalog grows.
A template is what you pick in the new-agent wizard. It is the product-facing profile: lane, venues, default guardrails, and strategy copy. Under each template sits a runtime pack: the hosted wiring that runs on Hermes, OpenClaw, or Claude (adapters, decision schema, schedule hooks, skills, and observability).
The catalog is built to scale. One pack can power many templates (for example several Hyperliquid strategies on the same perps pack). New lanes and venue packs roll out over time. Template creation for builders is opening soon; this page stays the product map while creator publishing docs ship.
Templates and packs
| Layer | What it is | What you configure |
|---|---|---|
| Template | Catalog row in the wizard | Name, wallet, delegation, schedule, risk caps |
| Runtime pack | Engine bundle bound to the template | Adapters, cron or triggers, preflight path, run receipts |
You do not install packs by hand. When you deploy a template, EarnClaw attaches the right pack for your framework and lane.
Lanes in the catalog
| Lane | What agents do | Example templates / packs |
|---|---|---|
| Trading — spot | Multi-chain EVM spot swaps on schedules or signals (aggregated DEX routing, large token universe) | finance-trading-spot-v1 on Hermes and OpenClaw |
| Trading — perps | Perpetuals execution | Hyperliquid pack on Hermes; OpenClaw perps where enabled |
| Yield | Vault and funding discovery, allocation, rebalance | finance-yield-v1 (Hermes-first for some providers) |
| Prediction | Binary market signals | prediction-basic-v1 on Hermes and OpenClaw |
Each row in the wizard is a template SKU (strategy + policy defaults). The pack column is the shared runtime underneath. More SKUs per lane are added as strategies are certified.
What every template includes
- Strategy profile — prompts, decision schema, venue constraints
- Runtime pack — adapter scripts, cron or trigger hooks where applicable
- Execution path — all venue and data integrations via the Thirdfy catalog (Agent CLI or MCP), then preflight and intents (see Integrations at runtime)
- Observability — run history and diagnostics on the agent page (see Observability)
What you see in the wizard
See Frameworks and runtimes for Hermes, OpenClaw, and Claude managed agents.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Launchable | Ready to deploy for your org when billing and policy checks pass |
| Preview | Early access; may appear when the catalog allows selection before full launch |
| Not listed | Still in rollout, limited access, or not supported on your framework |
If you expect a template and do not see it, pick another SKU or see Create your first agent — Troubleshooting.
Platform and community templates
| Source | Today |
|---|---|
| Platform templates | Maintained by EarnClaw and the Jeff operator catalog. Most wizard rows start here. |
| Community templates | Marketplace publishing opens soon. Listings will follow review, quality rules, and governance on Snapshot (see CEO utility). |
Building new templates (coming soon)
EarnClaw is opening template creation so builders can ship strategy profiles on top of certified packs without re-wiring venues from scratch. The public flow will cover submission, review, and catalog visibility. Creator and API docs will link from this section when that path is live.
Until then, deploy from the wizard catalog or reach out for early partner templates.
